Gatherings at my grandparents' home
The story
My grandparents' home nestled in the hills of the Vrancea county in Romania - a steady and loving space for child-hooding, summer homework, summer readings (Cireșarii and Povești nemuritoare often come to mind), wondering and wandering the hills with my grandfather, playing dress-up with my aunt's beautiful dresses (she sadly died when I was only 2 years old), plenty of daydreaming and the yummiest bread with butter (also sweet cheese doughnuts, pot roast chicken and potato slices on the stove). Both of my grandparents died a few years back. Right before the Pandemic hit, my parents converted the space (house and garden) in a cosy and full of character Airbnb. They renovated, added some extra functionality, yet kept the gold old soul of the space. As a consequence of a spicy and complicated relationship with my father, and a general estrangement with both of my parents, I hadn't set foot in this space since a little after its new makeover.
The gatherings
2025 was, for me, a giant year - one of grieving of all sorts. Amidst it all, I was craving for deep connection, and as it often happens lately, when I'm struggling to find what I'm looking for, I create (or at least try to) these kind of spaces myself. Somehow, it also felt like the best of times - a longing and an urge - to go back to the home the child in me would find both joy and safety in. Moments after this decision, another quirky idea sprung into my quirky brain, and namely to create a version of my holistic beauty gatherings in this space full of flavour and sweet memories. An Airbnb experience with a soulful kick. A nurturing mix of honest beauty, inner exploration, togetherness through creative playfulness, home cooked food, storytelling and nature walks. This is how these gatherings came into existence and flourished in the winter of 2026, to my delight. More on how everything has unfolded - within but also separate from the gatherings - here.

As a consequence to how strongly connected I felt with the space and with my gatherings within it, I have decided to keep the momentum going and to welcome more people into this personal universe that has always felt like a safe place to express my self as nature intended. I am even more so excited and curious to witness what we will be experiencing and creating together, as the thread of connection evolves.
I wish my grandparents would have been able to see the new heartbeat their precious home in the hills has acquired. This new energy would, I believe, bring sparks of joy to my grandfather in particular. Out of all my grandparents, I was probably the least emotionally attached to him. He was, however, the artist in the family (I guess you already know what direction the story will take). He was a schoolteacher, and beyond that he loved to paint, sculpt, play various instruments, take photos, collect objects, and literally anything he could build with his hands. He was also a dreamer, found solace and inspiration in nature, enjoyed having people over. There's still plenty of traces of my grandfather's artistry throughout the house, as you will, without a doubt, notice if you come along. I can recognise (it took me about 4 decades to see it) his energy and spirit within myself - a lot.

Come if…
🌰 You want to reconnect with the essence of BEAUTY and cultivate that feeling in and out of yourself. You can read more about my Holistic Beauty Workshops here. They will, however, take a slightly different shape at my grandparents’ home, with less focus on form and structure, and more on connection, creativity, pleasure, intimacy, ideas exchange.
🌰 You struggle to understand your skin’s needs and care for it from a holistic perspective, rather than from a symptomatic point of view.
🌰 You would love to learn how to use make-up as a way to express your personality in a fun, artistic and intuitive way.
🌰 You've been longing to spend some quality time with a close friend, in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature, pampered from the inside out. Oh, and what a wonderful gift idea this would make for, right?
* You also have the option to come alone or with your partner.
🌰 You are craving for some space to get that creative juice flowing. One of the main "attractions" of the space is the gazebo perched on a little hill inside the large courtyard. Here we can get creative together (I'm already concocting ideas), you can work your hands at some creative endeavours by yourself (there's plenty of paints and canvases, if you prefer this medium), or you can just be in the space and take in the surroundings with a yummy cup of latte warming you up (I'll take care of that).
I look forward to welcoming you! Mi casa es su casa. My playground is your playground.
